I often get the question, what if it rains? Typically when it rains I like to reschedule our initial date to another date with nicer weather but there are still some other really great ideas you can think about for your next portrait session.

Renting out a Studio

Studio sessions are one of my favorites! Especially if we pick out the right studio that is full of light. Film indoors always looks so beautiful and soft, plus, we have so many amazing studios in the area. Here are some of my favorite studios I would recommend within the Seattle-Tacoma area.

GRL Studio

Northlight Studio

StudioBish

Indoor at-Home Session

At home sessions are another great idea when it comes to a rainy day! This would be great for couples, there’s nothing better than a romantic Sunday morning themed photoshoot where you’re just getting out of bed, you’re helping each other out with breakfast, enjoying your nice warm cup of coffee, and hanging out on the sofa.

At home sessions are also a great option for family portraits. It’s a space you and your kids are already familiar with, there’s no need to travel someplace else, and your able to be more comfortable in your own home.

Session in the Snow

Here in the Pacific North West we are lucky enough to have some of the most beautiful mountainous locations, perfect for photos in the snow during the winter months. I love taking portraits in the snow, it’s a great change of scenery and a fun experience for everyone to enjoy.
